Frequently Asked Questions

What is a water softener loop?

A water softener loop is a system that is usually (but not always) installed at the time of a home’s construction. The u-shaped piping connects to your home’s water line and makes installing a water softener very easy. If your home doesn’t have a water softener loop, we’ll need to install one first. It’s a simple process for our technicians but takes a bit of planning, especially in larger homes.

Does my home have a water softener loop?

If your home has a water softener loop, you’ll usually find it in the garage. If it’s not there, it might be hiding in a maintenance room. Occasionally, you’ll also find a water softener loop outside.

Do I need the Big Blue Water Filter with my softener?

We offer the option off adding a Big Blue Water Filter to your softener installation because this combination will have your home’s water in pristine condition. It’s well worth considering if you don’t already have a whole-house water filter. Learn more about the Big Blue here.
