How Our HVAC Cost Estimator Works
Our central air conditioning cost calculator takes several key factors into account. The first is, naturally, your home’s size. This helps us determine what capacity air conditioner you need, which is a very important figure to get right. An air conditioner that’s too small will have to work much harder than it should, costing you more in electricity and maintenance bills. If the unit is too powerful, it will run intermittently, which is inefficient.
The HVAC cost estimator also considers where you plan on installing your air conditioner. Placement is a large determinant of how much work will go into the installation.
We also incorporate information about your location. There are two reasons for this. First, knowing where you live in Arizona will help us understand your climate, which is – of course – a very important aspect of choosing the right air conditioner. Many generic calculators online do not take your location into account, which is why their estimates can vary so drastically from what you actually end up paying. Secondly, it helps us ensure we actually provide service (and therefore relevant cost estimates) to your region.
Once you input this information, we present you with three recommendations based on SEER ratings we’ve identified as optimal for your situation. Other items we incorporate into your estimate include:
We present your estimate as a range to account for the possibility that your installation may not require all of these items. We encourage you to contact us after receiving your quote so we can provide more detailed information.
A Note Regarding Our Air Conditioning Cost Calculator and Ductwork
The cost of installing new ductwork can vary based on your home’s age and condition, which is why we don’t include that information as part of our quote. If you need new ductwork, please get in touch and we can provide you a more detailed quote.
